Era of The Victoria City

In Hong Kong, the existing heritage historical buildings built at early 20 Century (1900-1920) are over one hundred. They are including Church and Temple, Barrack and Police Station, Reservoir and Water Pump Station etc,. Some of them are located inside the City of Victoria in Hong Kong Island. Some of them built in Kowloon peninsula, the military strong hold at that previous of time. While some of them are in the New Territories, the new occupied area of the Hong Kong colonial government. This work is to taking photograph for the religious historical buildings that were built at early 20 Century (total 21) and attempts to explore the intergenerational religious collective memory of our society.

「維」城時代

在香港現存由二十世紀初期(1900年至1920年)所興建的的史建築物超共過100所，其中主要分為寺廟、教堂及祠堂，軍營及警署，以及水塘、泵房等幾大類別，有些在香港島「維多利亞城」之內，有些則處於當時的軍事重地九龍半島之上，而有些卻在新佔領區、遙遠的新界之中。本作品是拍攝二十世紀初期的香港宗教歷史建築物(共21所)，嘗試探討香港社會的跨世代宗教集體記憶。
